We all know how important blogging is: it improves your SEO, positions you as an expert, and keeps you at the top of your client’s minds.
We also all know how time-consuming and energy-draining blogging can be: coming up with ideas, editing, proofing, formatting, and posting.
But before you hit the publish button, you see that little blank square in the right corner for your featured image. It’s taunting you, reminding you of its importance in the promotion of your blog:
- Tweets with images receive 18% more clicks, 89% more favorites and 150% more retweets. (Source)
- Adding images to a post is a more successful tactic in optimizing social media posts than using hashtags or share icons. (Source)
- Content with relevant images gets 94% more views than content without (Source)
So you hop into Canva or PicMonkey & create an image, but it takes twice as long as you expect, you’re not crazy about their stock photos and default fonts, and the image still gets cut off when you upload it to social media. You’re not really proud of the image, but at this point, you just want the blog done and published.
Trust me, I’ve been there. When I left my job as a Marketing Director, one of the main reasons was because that blinking cursor in a blank screen paralyzed me. I thought that becoming a designer would help me escape from the difficulty of writing … but nobody told me that as a small business owner, I’d be writing even more often!
In chatting with many business owners across all industries, I’ve discovered that the blogging #struggleisreal for almost all of us. That’s why I created Blogging is Hard Enough. You tell me your blog title (or send me the whole blog, I promise I’ll read it) and we’ll work together to create customized images unique to your brand for your blog entry. And if you’ve batch written your blogs as Parrish suggested, we can do all 4 images in the package at once!
And then, as those terrible 90s infomercials say, you can “set it and forget it,” and take back your free time to spend with your clients … or better yet, your family.
